In 1864 Fort Collins was established as a military fort and later was integrated as a town in the year 1873. The city of Fort Collins is a fast growing urban city. The city boasts of over 600 acres of parks and more than 30,000 acres of natural areas. There are many different venues for entertainment and recreational activities. One can enjoy its beautiful countryside along the 20 miles long street hike and bike trail, or enjoy a golf session in one of the three golf courses. The ice rink and the community center is also a popular hangout where people come to have a good time.
